Interview with Steve Whitkoff on Fox News says Hamas is to blame for resumption of hostilities in Gaza. Says Hamas has had every opportunity to demilitarize and accept the bridging proposal. This would have given 40 or 50 day ceasefire where we could have discussed demilitarization and to a final truce.
Now Hamas says it accepts Egyptian proposal to release 5 living hostages in return for Israel resuming flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza freeing hundreds of jailed Palestinian prisoners and a ceasefire of several weeks at least.
Israel Today: the forum that represents the families of the hostages in Gaza calls on the government to reject the Egyptian proposal. Saying another selection process. Once again individual hostages to be released while the others are being sentenced to prolonged captivity or worse. Demands the government strongly oppose and not allow another selection among the hostages. Israel government must get them all out together in one go, on one bus. It must increase the military pressure, occupying territory in Gaza Strip and halt all humanitarian aid, electricity and water from going to Hamas.
