A Beautiful Poem…

My moderator Jeremy posted a powerful and beautiful poem underneath today’s video.. I thought I would share it here.

Is it not sad? The devil thinks,

That he can beat the Christian down,

Until, upon his knees he sinks,

And begs the Lord to come around?

Who then, true to His written word,

Fills beaten Christian with zeal and might!

And where once a broken heart had stirred,

There stands in armor, equipped to fight,

The beaten Christian, freed from chain

Of guilt and sin! And in his breast,

The zeal of Jesus, Lord and King,

Who, within him, brings forth the best,

Of any man upon the earth!

The beast defeated, that liar and foe,

Who one day shall descend for e'er

To depths of hell and pain and woe!

How sad it is, that tho future known,

So filled be he with hate, and blind,

Thinks bringing Christian down to knees

Be act of evil most unkind!

And yet, if Christian be prepared,

To Savior, Jesus Christ he run,

Then with Him, into face of evil stared,

until its wicked plan, undone.
