September 12, 2024 – Watchman River Tom – What will happen at the moment of the rapture?

Scripture about the rapture. 1 Thessalonians 4: 16-18, when Jesus comes and gets those who are saved in Jesus. 

Tom thinks about what it will likely be like in the world when all the believers are suddenly gone. What would happen when an 18 wheeler with a heavy load at 75 mph driving down the highway and the driver is saved and is taken? What about the cars, planes. In the schools with all the children taken. A comforting thing is victims of child abuse taken to Jesus and the persecuted Christian is taken to heaven. So many situations, we can hardly imagine.

Tom reminds that all saved will go in the rapture, even those that mock and scoff at the rapture, if they believe and are saved. Tom says of those they he can’t study for them but advises them to study on their own. Tom says we know we are deep in the season Paul warned about. The 7 year tribulation could happen at any time, the believers need to be taken to heaven with Jesus.

On Tuesday the 79th General Assembly met and declared Palestinian Authority takes a seat in the UN General Assembly. It had been said previously that Israel and US declared it must come through a peace agreement. In an overwhelming majority the assembly said Palestine deserved the right to a full membership. Tom says, despite it is not a nation. Reports it granted new rights in a resolution which still excludes it from being able to vote or be a member of the security council. They allow them to submit proposals and amendments and sit amoung member states. 

Israel’s defense minister Gallant read a letter written in May by a Hamas terrorist that had  been killed in July. He was a commander in Kahn Yunis along with one other. The letter was written to leader Sinwar and his brother Mohammed. It said, we are broken. Says we have lost 90% of our rockets. Says our own people cannot stand us. He warned of the loss of the terrorist organization’s military capabilities and decline of support among Palestinian population. Says 50% have been wounded or martyred. Says their own people are psychologically and physically broken. 

Tom says still they are pushing on. Says most do support Hamas but some don’t and its horrible what they are living with. 

Amir talks about continuing Egypt and Qatar deals. In the last 2 days they say there is still a possibility of softening the position of Hamas. They say they demand US soften the position of Israel and Netanyahu especially regarding the Philadelphi corridor. Amir says that’s not going to happen. 

Another article says Hamas is ready to implement a ceasefire with Israel based on previous proposals without any new conditions from any party. It is also said at the same time US officials have indefinitely postponed the presentation of a final deal.

More reports on the attack by Israel on Monday to NW Syria at the missile production facility. It is reported Israel also confiscated documents and other data.

Reports last night 100 rockets fired from Hezbollah in Lebanon to N. Israel causing massive fires. Tom says it happens every day.

Members of the Temple Mount activists organization posted a video of what it looked like if the Al-Aqsa mosque was burning. May be A.I. generated but looked real. Written under the video it said, soon, in these days. 

China’s president to attend Brics summit in Russia, called it the Summit of Emerging Economics held October 22-24. Says the Kremlin hopes to expand its influence and closer ties with China.

Weather: 

More fatalities from Typhoon in Vietnam, reaching up to 200 and hundreds missing. 

Out of control wildfires in LA burins homes, declaring state of emergency. Heat wave and winds contributing.

Weather models predict massive rainfall event over Europe in the next few days with catastrophic flooding.

In a podcast Elon Musk gives his predictions of A.I. Says 80% chance of prosperity, 20% chance of human annihilation. He highlighted Tesla’s robot that could eventually perform daily tasks like babysitting. Tom  says these guys are very smart but it says in the last days they are so smart they become dumb! But human annihilation? 

Jesus is coming very very soon to take us Home.

Brother Keegan says we are on the very cusp of the biggest event since the cross.

Gospel: 

Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. Jesus left heaven to come to earth to give His life so we can be forgiven of all our sins through His sacrifice.

He died, was buried, rose on the third day and is coming again. 

Must admit of our sins and need for a Savior. Believe in what He did and receive His forgiveness. Will be saved, born again, changed, filled with Holy Sprit and rapture ready. Will be taken to heaven forever with the family of God. Won’t be here for the 7 year tribulation. 

A free gift because of His great love for us. Gave willingly nothing we do or can do, He did it all.

Be saved today.
