September 13, 2024 – Watchman River Tom – Syrian battleground and Damascus, Isaiah 17:1

Scriptures about transformation. 

Acts 3: 19 “Repent therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out so that the times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”

Tom is talking about Damascus Syria. It has a population of about 2 million people. Tom says he has some listeners that live in Damascus. It is considered the oldest city in the world. Has a history of bloodshed and destruction and rebuilding and destruction. The prophecy of Isaiah 17: 1 says it will be a ruinous heap and cease to be a city. Tom says it looks like it could happen at any time. It is a site where weapons are smuggled in.

Article says tensions rise between Israel on the norther border and Syrian border between Israel and Hezbollah. It is a staging ground for military operations with Hezbollah entrenched in Syria. IDF has been striking the area to disrupt weapon transfers. Iran over the years has built its presence there. They have a network of proxies and military across the country. Tom says we watch that area with the prophecy that has been given us.

Article: Hezbollah is telling remaining residents in S. Lebanon to evacuate right now. Tom says an odd lull with threat but major things being held back. 

Hezbollah fired rockets to N. Israel targeting IDF air base there. Says most rockets were intercepted and the rest fell in open areas and caused wildfires and power outages. 

Article: Hamas makes a half billion from humanitarian aid that it pays its terrorists. Nearly 200 aid trucks enter the area daily and has been the main oxygen pipeline for the terrorists organization. Hamas steals it then sells it. Tom says the US sends the aid which keeps this operation  going. The money will be used to finance recruitment. Reports that 3,000 terrorists have been added to Hamas payroll in N. Gaza. Israelis  condemn the ongoing aid theft. 

Amir reports senior IDF officials are considering accepting a plan to turn N. Gaza into a closed military zone called the Island Plan. The plan will be to evacuate more than 200,000 Gazans in N. Gaza and turn the entire area into a territory under complete Israeli military control.

Putin responded to a question of the possibility of Western long range weapons being used to strike Russia.

He said if so it would mean Nato members, US and European countries are at war with Russia and it would take appropriate action.

Tom hears that the US and Britain are deciding whether to let Kyiv strike deep inside Russia but said only if they do not use US weapons.

Weather:

Hurricane Francine made landfall as a Cat 2 hurricane in Louisiana. Almost 400,000 without power, flooding. In the South it is receiving heavy rains and tornado threats. They say the risks to lives and property not over. Please pray.

Gospel: 

Time it short. Believe in what Jesus did with the power of His blood that was shed and the  finished work on the cross for us. Jesus loves us so much He came to earth the die for all sins, to take our place so we can be forgiven, washed clean to be able to be with Him in heaven forever. 

Must admit of being a sinner and need for a Savior. Will be saved, born again, changed forever, filled with Holy Spirit and ready to go in the rapture. Be taken in the clouds to go to heaven and be gone before the tribulation comes on the earth. Will be saved with Jesus and the family of God in heaven forever. 

John 3: 16 whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life, be saved today.
