NOTES: Watchman River Tom.  Rising tensions in the Middle East

Today is the day most Christians remember Jesus was crucified, they call it Good Friday.   Many say it was Wednesday or Thursday because we can’t get 3 days from Friday to Sunday.  The main thing is Jesus went to the cross to pay for our sins with His blood.  We don’t celebrate all He went through, we celebrate the end of the story.  Sunday is coming! He rose the 3rd day and He’s coming back!

Reads 1 Peter 2:24, Mark 9:31, Mark 10:33-34.  Isaiah 53:5, Mark 8:31.  Jesus told his disciples what was going to happen but they didn’t know until after it happened.  Matthew 12:39-40, Matthew 26:39, Matthew 26:55-56.  His disciples changed after He rose, became bold, even to death.  They saw the risen Jesus.  He was seen by over 500 people.  

Tom says many people get saved just by reading the lives of the apostles, before and after.  

News:

Russia warships have entered the Red Sea.  Possible sea confrontation with NATO.

Times of Israel: Reports of IDF attacks in Syria, near Aleppo. 38 killed and  injured dozens.  

Bubba News:  Says keep an eye on Syria.  Heating up with the Israeli strikes.  The casualties in Syria appear to be Iran rebel terrorists.  Now Syria will want to join the fight against Israel. Syria has chemical and biological weapons to use on Israel.  Israel also targeted a site used by the terror groups near Damascus.

Amir says tough fighting in the Gaza Strip this morning, near Rafah.  Also still fighting at the Shifa Hospital.  Says out of 900 suspects, IDF have identified and arrested 513 terrorists at the Shifa hospital.

Insider Paper:  US tells Israel and Lebanon to restore calm.

Headline: CERN to test the world’s most powerful particle accelerator during the April 8 solar eclipse to search for invisible matter that secretly powers our universe. It’s like it says in Romans 1:20-22 they profess to be wise but are fools.  Tom says they want to play God.

6.0 earthquake in Greece. 24 hr earthquakes,  39 over 4.0, 7 over 5.0.

Insider Paper:  over 1,600 planes affected by a mysterious jamming across Europe since Sunday  near and over Baltic Sea.  Been across places like Poland, Sweden, Denmark and  Germany.

Amir  put a message regarding those who say they are Christians and are antisemitic. It doesn’t go together.  He is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, will save His people and reign from Jerusalem. Israel will once again be the head of all nations. Tom emphasizes the whole Bible is about a Jewish Messiah and His people.  

We see much deception in antisemitism.  especially at this end times.

Testimony and comments – 

A start down any path can lead to a slippery slope.  It can turn into a very dark place.  Our Lord can reach us even in that dark place.  Take us out and put us on His path.  The one with Him is the place of being in more of who he wants us to be and we can serve Him. This one tells of landing in prison then being involved in prison ministry and delivered and healed to a life with Jesus. 

Antisemitism, being against the Jews, is wrong and other way is people trying to follow old Jewish traditions and law. Jesus came to free us from being under the law.  Trying to serve the law can lead many to fall away from faith and the Gospel of Christ.  In Christ all our sins are gone. Not under the law, but grace. 

Gospel – The Gospel is what Jesus did to save us.  For forgiveness of all our sins to redeem us forever, to be with Him for all of eternity. He died, was buried, and rose agin and is coming back.  We remember especially this weekend all He did for us to pay for our sins and we can be saved.
