January 16, 2025 – PEACE AND SAFETY? NOT SO FAST!

Scriptures of what to do when you don’t understand God’s ways. 

Isaiah 55: 8-9. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways said the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than Your ways. And My thoughts than Your thoughts.” 

Romans 8:3, Jeremiah 33:3, Psalm 24:19. 

Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are called according to His purpose.” 

Tom reads a telegram from his friend this morning. 

It is like we are living in the beginning of the Left Behind movie.

The disciples came to Jesus and asked Him what will be the sign of Your coming and the end of the world. Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. 

We read these and see Jesus gave the disciples far more than the single sign they asked for. He gave them over 20. 

Consider the words of Jesus over 2,000 years ago. In the last days, deception, wars, rumors of wars, great violence, sexual perversion, earthquakes in diverse places, nation rising against nation, famine, pestilence and plague. Jerusalem being surrounded by her enemies, persecution against Christians and Jews, false prophets, lawlessness, and many more. We can see we are that generation.

Thankfully Jesus also said these words. “When these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, your redemption draws near.” Luke 21:28.

A ceasefire is not signed yet. Tom says this peace and safety they talk about with this ceasefire is from US Anthony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, Trump and Biden and some others. Tom says the peace and safety Paul talks about is what the Jews will say. It doesn’t say it has to happen, it is when they are saying it, sudden destruction comes upon them. Tom says he thinks Israel would see its enemies backing down and they feel safe. What we see now is the US administration pressuring Israel and saying it. Israel is not feeling it. 

News: many conflicting reports about the ceasefire still. After it was reported they have reached an agreement armed Hamas gun men were parading through the streets of Gaza celebrating and firing their guns, excited about a ceasefire. 

Amir said president Trump forced us to sign a terrible deal. Nothing to be happy or proud about. In 42 days will see if his guarantees and can go back to fight Hamas are real. Trump says he will use Gaza ceasefire momentum to expand the Abraham Accords. Tom believes it leads to the Daniel 9:27 covenant, is strengthen and confirmed. 

Trump said there would be hell to pay if the hostages were not released by the time he was inaugurated. He said he was thrilled American and Israel’s hostages will be returning home.

Quote: “With this deal in place the national security team through the efforts of the envoy to the Middle East will continue to work closely with Israel and our allies to make sure Gaza never again becomes a terror safe haven. Says we will continue promoting peace through strength throughout the region as we build momentum of this ceasefire to expand historic Abraham Accords. “ 

The Abraham Accords, an agreement that normalizes ties with Israel and UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco.

Tom says many say Trump is the antichrist. Tom says no. Says the antichrist comes out of nowhere and after the rapture is the deal. 

Israel PM official said last night that Hamas has refused parts of the ceasefire agreement. Backing out of some agreements to delay it. 

PM office says they will not meet until Hamas has accepted all the agreements. Saying the dispute was related to the identity of all the prisoners up for release. 

Last night PM of Qatar, Biden, and Trump said a deal had been reached. Netanyahu said no, the final deal not reached. Some outstanding details remain. 

This morning they are saying the ceasefire hostage deal has been delayed. Netanyahu accused Hamas of violating parts of the agreement. Saying he is frustrated with Trump for pressuring him to accept the deal. 

From Israel Today : Senior Hamas negotiator said this. He said what happened on October 7 is a military victory that will remain a source of pride for our people, our nation and future governments. 

Israel Today says allowing Hamas “achievements” they call it, giving the release of over 1,000 jailed Palestinian terrorists.

Some comment we don’t know the details that were just talked about between Netanyahu and Trump and others. Just what they want us to know. We don’t know how this will go. The Hamas leaders in Qatar and Hamas leaders in Gaza Strip are not the same. Tensions over what group has the final say.

Amir says the Qatari ceasefire looks fake. Making a deal with terrorists and murders. What do we expect. Says also the mediators seem to be corrupt. 

Tom says, no deal yet.

This morning US national security advisor Kirby said its a deal. More details to work. They think  its coming and those in Israel says they think it will also.

Tom says that is the update for now.

At the same time Norway has a global meeting to advance a 2 state solution. Their objectives, to reinforce backing for a 2 state solution in the Middle East, address ongoing crisis in Gaza and strengthen Palestinian state building efforts. The theme: global alliance for implementation of a 2 state solution. Representatives from 84 countries and organizations to “advance peace in the region”. They say peace and security often. 

From Israel Today: Trump chose a radical Imam to speak at his inauguration. For the first time ever an Imam. To recite a Muslim blessing at an inauguration alongside a priest and a rabbi. This one has a history of support of Shittite terrorist militia. Also described the US armed forces as oppressive and occupiers. Referred to Saudis as agents of the Jews. In a conversation with a Christian he said he foresaw good news from the Koran. Said he saw soon there will be an attack on Israel and the Muslims will take control of Jerusalem. 

Tom says someone who has the power should stand up and say this is wrong. 

Wildfires still raging. The winds have died down helping to bring 40,000 acres of ongoing wildfires under control. The national weather service said dangerous conditions expected to return next week. Pray for the people and the firefighters. 

Tom says we are waiting for Jesus to come, take us home. 

Gospel: time is short. Warns of what is coming. If not saved, will not go to heaven in the rapture. 

To be saved our Savior made the way. 100% God. 100% man, without sin. Fulfilled all the requirements to save people from their sins. 

Must admit of sins and need for a Savior. Nothing we do or can do, He did it all. Believe in faith Jesus came to earth to die on the cross for us. He shed His blood that has the power to remove every sin, past, present and future forever. A free gift because of His love for us. 

If reject Jesus and what He did, will not go to heaven but to hell forever. 

Believe and be saved. Will be born again, receive Holy Spirit, changed. Will go to heaven in the rapture. Will be with Jesus and the family of God forever. Be saved today.
