October 5, 2024 – Watchman River Tom – October Changes Everything…

Scriptures about overcoming. Hebrews 12: 1 Therefore also since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. 

Tom says our faith in Christ makes us overcomers. Our faith is in Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords who laid down His life and shed His blood so we could be washed as white as snow. Time is short, receive Jesus.

Tom says keep our eyes on Jesus, don’t fear. This month looks like anything could happen. It may be the rapture, look up! 

News:

Islamic republic nuclear facilities would be difficult for Israel to bomb on its own. It is deep in the mountains of Iran. To do any real danger it would require sustained bombing for hours or days with dozens of aircraft. Reports is the US says it will not take part in Israel respond to Iran’s missile attack but will let Israelis use American resources. 

Tom says Yom Kippur is just a week away. Would Israel avoid doing something on the high holy days? We don’t know but there is much talk of Israel targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities. 

Iran’s foreign minister arrives in Damascus for talks with Syrian officials. Tom says we are watching Damascus, with Isaiah 17:1.

Senior member of Iran revolutionary guard was killed in a car attack in Syria. 

Pentagon officials told NY Times working with Israel has become difficult because they aren’t informing them of their military plans. They claim Israel said the ground invasion would be limited but its much wider. And Gallant informed Austin of elimination of Nasrallah only when the operation was underway. Said it did not give US opportunity to prepare for increased defenses for soldiers in the region. 

Reports USS nuclear sub Georgia, took part in attack in Yemen, fired 15 missiles at Houthis targets. 

Amir said last night after evacuation notice was given were 12 bombing raids from IDF to S. Beirut that destroyed areas.

Lebanon says since the beginning of the IDF ground operation it has eliminated more than 400 Hezbollah terrorists from the ground and air. 

Reports the Secretary General of Hezbollah has resigned after been there since 1991. Tom says we can see why. 

US envoy Hochstein says there is irresponsible reporting these last days. Says the US did not ok the military operations in Lebanon, only a diplomatic resolution that would allow residents to return home. Says working with the governments with Israel and Lebanon is the best way to restore calm. The article from Israel today says why does the US think they know better than Israel to solve this problem? And it just seems to matter to the US if it only affects the US.

IDF reports in 4 days 250 Hezbollah terrorists eliminated in S. Lebanon, including 21 commanders. 

Amir said attacks going on along Syria and Iraq border. 

Tom says Tyler Generation 2434 did a video last night regarding hurricane Helene. Gave update and prayers and where to donated for relief efforts. Tom says please pray, so much devastation. Getting many emails. One commented  in parts of N. Carolina the roads are gone, entire infrastructure. See half houses just laying in the mountains. Saying everything is gone. Insurance does’t cover much. 

News came out Sinwar is alive and no intention of making a hostage deal. Prefers to see Israel dragged to regional war. Tom says we think he probably surrounds himself with hostages and Israel knows that.

Gospel:

Time is very short to believe in Jesus and be saved. Must realize the need for a Savior for our sins and realize what Jesus did to save us. He came from heaven, perfect, no sin and went to the cross to shed His blood so all that believe and receive would be saved. He took all sins upon Himself so we could be forgiven of every sin past, present and future. Believe in faith and will be forgiven and saved. Will be born again, receive Holy Spirit and be changed. Will not be here for the time of the tribulation but will be with Jesus and the family of God forever in heaven.
