August 14, 2024 – Watchman River Tom – An eerie calm before the mega storm!!

Scripture to remind us why we are not here to face God’s wrath. From Exodus 17:6 and Numbers 20: 8-12.

Jesus is the rock. As with Moses, he was only to strike the rock once. Jesus  died once, not going back to the cross. It was finished. When we believe we receive the Holy Spirit. It would be like striking Jesus again because we have His Holy Spirit in us. He will not do that. We will not be here for God’s wrath when the tribulation is upon the whole world. God has the 2 witnesses, 144,000 evangelist and the angel to witness to the whole world. He doesn’t need us to be here. 

Tom says, quiet before the storm? Waiting mode. Not if, but when, something is going to happen.

Israel news:

Blinken postpones his trip to the Middle East due to uncertainty. So he won’t be at the hostage deal tomorrow. Will see what happens. Seems things are waiting until they  see what happens tomorrow, if anything. 

US envoy in the Middle East arrived in Beirut Lebanon today in attempt to calm tensions between Hezbollah and Israel. He met with the Parliament for half hour and it appears it didn’t do anything to get Hezbollah to calm down.

Tom states in the Middle East when leaders are killed they always retaliate.

The IDF approves a multi front battle plan against Hezbollah and Iran.

Iran rejects calls from the West trying to convince them not to attack Israel. 

Britain, France and Germany tell Iran not to attack and urge calm and restraint. They say to attack shows lack to political logic and contradicts principles of international law. 

Israel minister of education says they can’t see a way to return residents of the North to their homes without a massive war against Hezbollah. Says they should have done it long ago.

UN security council met yesterday at the request of Algeria regarding the school in Gaza that was hit. Israel’s ambassador to the UN presented images of Hamas terrorists that were killed there. There were 31. He states they were using this as their terror base. He strongly reprimanded the UN that it met over this terror based school but couldn’t find the time to call emergency session on the children who were murdered by Hezbollah rocket fire.

Other News:

Japan FM resigns after 3 years due to low popularity  rating and failing economy.

Germany reports “blue tongue” virus disease across Europe affecting sheep and cattle. Registered 1,885 outbreaks in 2024, especially since July. There were only 23 cases in 2023.

The WHO lists Black Death plague, bird flu and M. Pox as among the 24 threats that have been added to the list of pathogens that could trigger a next pandemic. 

Weather:

Monsoons in India bring death toll to 58. Floods damages 198,000 acres of crops.

Massive wildfire in Athens Greece forcing 30,000 to evacuate. 

4.4 earthquake in Indian Springs Nevada. 4.1 in Spain.

Gospel:

Jesus, Lamb of God, perfect sacrifice for all sins of all time to pay for our sins. Without the shedding of blood no forgiveness of sins. Must admit of our sins and need for a Savior. Believe He died, was buried and rose the third day. Believe in faith of His free gift of salvation and will be saved. 

Will be born again, filled with the Holy Spirit and rapture ready to meet Jesus in the clouds and be with Him forever. 

He is coming soon to call all believers who believe in Him to heaven forever.

Today’s Scriptures: WHY WE ARE NOT HERE TO FACE GOD’S WRATH DURING THE SEVEN YEAR TRIBULATION 

Exodus 17:6 KJV

[6] Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. 

Numbers 20:8-12 KJV

[8] Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink. [9] And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him. [10] And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? [11] And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. [12] And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
