May 23, 2024 – Watchman River Tom – A Lasting peace!  Keep saying it!

Tom says he’s not a Pastor, prophet, just a dude that loves the Lord, loves talking about the Lord and hanging out with us.  Says grab a snack,  maybe a chocolate chip croissant and glass of cold milk or whatever you like when hanging out with an old friend and a fellow servant of the Lord,.

Proverbs 4:23 “Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it springs the issues of life.”

Jeremiah 17:9-10 The Lord knows out hearts.

Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”

Psalms 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart O God and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

Man looks at outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. 1 Samuel16:7, Proverbs 3:5-6.  “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding,  in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.”

News – 

Times of Israel.  Arab and EU ministers to discuss ending Gaza war and peace efforts. Met in Brussels on Monday.  Representatives from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar and UAE will join regular meeting from the 27 member EU.  EU special representative to Middle East peace process gave core priorities members agrees on.   Ending the war, avoiding a regional war, working towards a peace settlement in which Israel and Palestinian State would live side by side.  He said a major effort of US and Arab and European countries is necessary to establish peace.

Tom  says Israel has always lived side by side with Palestine.  But as of October 7 they found out all the underground tunnels with command centers.  “Peace and safety”, hear it all the time.

Insider Paper.  Netanyahu said recognition of State of Palestine by Spain, Ireland and Norway was a reward for terror.  Would allow repeated October 7 massacres.  

Israel Today.  International criminal court will give its decision on arrest warrants for Israel and Hamas leaders tomorrow.  Tom  thinks they will.  The whole world is against Israel (thunder – hears from a storm as he is doing the video! )

Insider Paper. Israel finance minister said to Netanyahu he calls for halting the transfer of all monthly tax revenues that Jerusalem collects on behalf of Palestinian authority.  White House warns Israel not to withhold Palestinian funds.

Jake Sullivan said he thinks its wrong to withhold funds that provide basic goods and services to “innocent” people.  Tom says the US is trying to run Israel.

Amir says  Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House, threatens the US will punish the criminal court severely and its Chief prosecutor who will be put in its place. He  says he thinks the next target of the court would be the US.

JNS – Gvir visits Temple Mount yesterday and gave a talk from the top of the Temple Mount.  He said  this from the holiest place for the people of Israel which belongs only to the State of Israel. Those talking about a Palestinian State are  giving a reward to the terrorists and says it is why Hamas must be destroyed.  Says Israel will not allow even a declaration of Palestinian State.  He  says to destroy Hamas they must go into Rafah to the end, to do a root canal.  To return the hostages they need to stop the supply of fuel to the Gaza Strip and  to control this place, give  humanitarian for humanitarian.  

Times of Israel.  Iran’s Khamenei said to Hamas leader, eliminating Zionist entity will be fulfilled, and Palestine will rise. 

Rockets from Lebanon, over 100 missiles and drones, landed in open areas in upper Galilee and firefighters working to put them out.

Israel Today.  Israel war cabinet has decided to resume hostage negotiations with Hamas.  Heavy fighting in Rafah as IDF goes house to house to hunt down Hamas. 

Israel breaks relations with Spain and withdraws its ambassador.

In Northern Mexica during a political rally the stage collapsed.   The Presidential candidate escaped but 9 people died and over 50 are injured.

Insider Paper.  China holds military drills around Taiwan as punishment for the election of Taiwan’s new president.  China denounced his speech as a confession of independence and warns independence forces will have their heads broken  and blood flowing.  Taiwan has detected 49 military aircraft, called joint sword drills. Tom  says there are rumors that say China will enter  Taiwan in the next few weeks.

Last 24 hour earthquakes, 35 over 4.0, and  5 over 5.0.

Article from Forbes.  JP Morgan Chase plans to roll out bio-metric payment system to all US retailers by early next year.  To make it possible for shoppers to pay without cash or plastic but have their palms or faces scanned upon entry to the store.  Tom says,  close to hearing that trumpet.

Clown World –

Article says we hear about jobs that could be threatened by AI but there is one it could be used for it for good it says, as whistle blower. To detect fraud for example that corporations and others cover up from employees or government.  Tom says, wouldn’t trust that either!    Clown World.

Another.  California legalizes human composting by 2027 for eco friendly burials.  Tom  says no words, ready to go home.  People need to  get saved.  

Comments –

When we give our lives completely to God the change is the best.   Encourages us to give lives to God completely, He will never fail.

Looking for the day we are with our Heavenly Father and our Savior.

Gospel –

Jesus came form heaven to die, shed His blood to take away the sin that keeps us from heaven.  He forgives us of every sin.  Believe and let go of that sin and forgive ourselves by receiving His forgiveness.  

1 Corinthians 15:3-4. The Gospel, died, buried, rose the 3rd day.  Unearned gift, His grace.  Nothing we do or can do, only through faith in Him and His work on the cross.   Believe in Him, receive His Holy Spirit and be a new creation, forever.  Rapture ready.

Warns if reject, will go to hell.  Sins not forgiven, cannot go to heaven.

He loves us.  Receive His gift,  to new life with Him.  Be saved today, forever.
