May 16, 2024 – Watchman River Tom – Coming soon, the rapture, then antichrist revealed.

The Lord has given us another good day to serve Him as we await the pre-tribulation rapture of the church which could happen at any time.

Tom got a snack recommendation in the comments yesterday.  Caramel filled pancakes!   Tom says he doesn’t have time to recommend something, but that sounds pretty good.

Scripture –

Reads Psalms 27 – He is our defender and is our everything, beautiful.

Reads 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 to explain what the Bible says happens with the timing of antichrist.   The apostasy  is called the falling away.  It is often described as the departure of the church or the church “standing apart from,” doctrinal or physical departure.

Tom  says either way it’s said, we won’t see antichrist before we are gone.

Reads also verses 7-8.  The Holy Spirit , that is in us the Church,  is taken out of the way then he, the antichrist will be revealed.

News –

The floating dock for humanitarian aid the US made is finished and connected to Gaza coast.  Saying aid will soon be passing through it.  Says hundreds of tons of aid are waiting in the port in Cyprus, thousands more tons arrive later.

Times of Israel – Netanyahu accuses Egypt of holding Gazans hostage at Rafah border crossing route.  He pressed Egypt to open Rafah border crossing suggesting Cairo was holding people of Gaza hostage by not working with Israel on the key gateway.   Egypt was the first Arab country to make peace with Israel and hosted the truce and hostage talks but now they have separated and blame Israel, saying it denied responsibility for humanitarian crisis in Gaza.  

Uproar and anger in Netanyahu government after Galant said over TV he rejects  Israel civil or military governance of Gaza following the war.  Galant insists Netanyahu publicly declare Israel will not control Gaza day after the war.  

Netanyahu response to Galant, can’t let that Hamas happen.  Gvir says it’s either controlled by IDF soldiers or Hamas murderers.  Said this is what a faulty defense minister who failed on October 7 says and continues to fail.  Said he must be replaced to achieve the goals of the war.  More criticism to Galant from others.  Saying the only one who backs Galant is cabinet minister Benny Gantz.

Another makes a comment of how it has gone on 7 months and rocket fire to South Israel has returned and Hamas still exits.  Many IDF fallen and residents of south and north Israel displaced. 

Hamas leader comes back and says it will not be destroyed and will continue to play a role of governance following the war.  Called on Palestinians  in West Bank (Jordan, Syria and Lebanon) to escalate the conflict with Israel.  

Tom says they want it to go back to Palestinian Authority or Hamas  to rule.  That’s calling for some bad trouble! Need to rid Hamas there and have Israel take it, that is who it belongs to. A lot of strife but the majority support Netanyahu. Tom says  ready for Jesus to come take us Home.

Hezbollah fired 100 rockets at Israel this morning.

Drone from Hezbollah in Lebanon struck area in lower Galilee, targeting an army base.  It is said, this is Hezbollah’s deepest strike into Israel so far.

Psalms 150:6 – praises the Lord.

The Slovakian Prime Minister is in critical condition after an assassination attempt.  We pray for him and family.

Article – Putin and leader of China Xi New World order is emerging and could be catastrophic.  Putin went to China and praised the leader for sharing his vision of multi-polar world order.

Tom says there will be this New World Order.  Something will happen to America after the rapture.  

Another barge hits a bridge.  Pelican Island bridge in Texas, a portion of the bridge collapses.  Part of the railroad collapsed and fell into the water.  Chemical spilled from the barge,  vacuum gas, oil petroleum product. Traffic Galveston ship channel closed.  Tom says why, may be  intentional.  

Wildfires surge in Canada causing evacuations.  Close to town Fort McMurray in Alberta Canada where it produces more than 1 million barrels of oil a day.

Past 24 hour earthquakes. 42 over 4.0, 7 over 5.0.

Tom  says plane incidents still going on. One today said Boeing makes emergency landing in Indonesia after engine catches on fire.  People climbing out on the wing.

Business Insider -Japanese firm working to have angry complaints to call centers soon soothed by AI.  Saying thanks to AI the calls to the center will sound less angry.  Tom has fun saying how AI could change angry to sweet!

Testimony and comments –

Jesus can change lives even in the worst situations and when surrender to Him.  Redeemed and rapture ready. 

Thinking about what heaven will be like is wonderful to think on.  Ready to go.  True believers want to come Home.  Pray for lost to find their salvation.  

No such thing as too much prayer, but sure know when haven’t prayed enough.

Gospel –

The urgency to share the Gospel is even more critical as time is short.  Pleads with those that are not ready.  

Share about what Jesus did and why.  Need sins forgiven to be able to go to Heaven and He came to earth to die for all sins.  Perfect sacrifice, shed His blood, because of His love.  Died so we may live forever with Him, our risen Savior.

Warns if don’t receive, believe, will go to hell, sins not forgiven.

Believe in what He did, tell Him and receive forgiveness for all sin, receive the Holy Spirit, saved forever, rapture ready. 

No works on our part can enter heaven.  Only Jesus unearned gift.

Be saved today, forever.
